Me of little faith....

With the supportive and encouraging posts have read since joining the group I decided to move onto R3 of W5 and I did it, I have just run non stop for 20 minutes and I am still alive..Yippee. I covered a distance of 2.50k overall in 30mins including the warm up/down walks so is less than I had hoped for by now but, I concentrated on keeping relaxed and a steady pace. I never thought I could or would ever achieve what I have today. Thank you all...

You have more faith in yourself than you thought you had I am due to graduate next week and while 5k was illusive at W5R3 I still had 4 weeks to go I am close but no fussed if I don't do it next week as that is not the object of the programme but think on what you have achieved and where you were at the start

Well done! Always have faith! Think positive as you can do this 😊

Pace, speed etc is not required so just chill out and have fun with it.

Well done - it really is one of the highlights of the programme. Enjoy that feeling and keep it with you as you run next week.☺

Well done, don't get discouraged by distance or speed, just focus on the run times. When I graduated I could run for 30 mins and so I was a success! A couple of weeks later, I just kept running longer and reached 5k in 43 minutes, so the run times are building fitness and stamina that will allow you to graduate with 40 minute runs, then it is just a matter of time until you are ready to increase time and distance. Nice and slow, go at a pace that allows you to go for the time. I still can't run 5k in 30 mins, fastest is 34 mins but this has taken time and I now run 10k once a week, all at a pace that is comfortable and makes it fun for me

Wahay - wk5r3! That's the hardest and most mentally challenging one kicked into touch :) And your speed and distance, well I would be very proud of them. Like everyone says, the challenge is to get to 30 minutes running non stop - and the way you're going it won't be long now. Well done!
