I did it! Finally after three failed attempts I did it!

Those pesky gremlins must have taken a holiday today as I completed my run and even sprinted the last minute! Maybe something has clicked finally, who knows but I'm floating in a platinum lined cloud right now.

Things I've learnt in the past week are; don't go for a run the day after a cocktail fueled wedding, stay away from 5 inch heels no matter how pretty they are, physio will hurt in the short term but will pay off and the main one is that it's ok to go slower. I'm amazed at how I wasn't out of breath, no stitch and no burning of my lung. I could have carried on quite happily but didn't want to push it. I must say it was nice to have my best friend call at around the 10 minute mark into the 22 minute run and I could hold a conversation between breathing where as before I'd get to 10 minutes in and then the lung burn/stitch would happen. Then before I knew it I'd only got 3 minutes left.

It may have taken me an extra week for week 6 but I've quit quitting. 7 runs left... How did that happen??

I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm a runner, more like a wobbly hopper 😂 It feels good all the same.

Great job! So inspired by how you kept at it until you got it done. That's the spirit I need.

Don't ever give up. We have all come so far and giving up mentally is not an option now. Injury is a different story but we can do this. 😊

Finding the right pace is the key to success, now you can really start to enjoy the run itself.

I won't be running today as I did a 13 hour shift yesterday but looking forward to week 7 tomorrow. I still can't believe that I made it after so many practice runs!

Funnily enough my best friend is called Laura who called while I was running so I had my Laura right there with me.

Fingers crossed that I've had my blip for a while and the next week goes better now ive found my little rhythm.

As my swimming teacher use to say back when I was 5... There's no such thing as can't.

Scrap my early post, I sat on my bum making stuff for a cake all day and finally finished at 10.30pm. My body was no where near ready for sleep so I just completed W7R1 with ease??! Somethings happened but it's all good. Self belief goes such a long way. 😊
