W5run2 & cycling!

As I try not to run on a day I work and I don't want to give up my one day a week cycling this is what happened this morning. I haven't been able to go cycling for the last three weeks for one reason or another so today was quite a revelation when I was able to cycle up a particularly nasty hill without stopping or getting off to walk and although hard, I recovered quickly at the top. Laura is right my stamina has improved and I am enjoying both activities equally.

  • I also found out recently that the mental aspect of c25k helped with my cycling, I was brave enough to tackle a hill I was previously scared of, and applying the slow, slower mantra of this forum, got myself up the hill! It 's great for fitness and confidence and can be applied to lots of other situations too! Well done on your hill!

  • Then benefits of completing the programme are pretty amazing...I too, find cycling much easier.. and walking ...:)

  • Yes, I noticed that my cycling stamina improved hugely once I got into the C25K programme, it is marvellous!
