Although I wish ithad been with me this morning and reminded me that I was signed up for a Star Wars May the 4th 10k Virtual charity run. Ideally BEFORE I did an hour of Crossfit followed by an hour in the weight room on shoulders and tris.
Now have to fit in a fairly swift pre-supper run while the kids are crossfitting. Erk.

Well that was hot and pretty horrid on the whole. I haven't run 10k for... Yonks. Probably not this year. Calves were crying all the way. 52 mins, which was not bad, considering.
Did have one little high point though: was running down a long hill and could see two other runners ahead of me and a bunch of young teenage lads siting on a fence, and as the runners passed them, they evidently were heckling because the runners recoiled a bit and ran on faster. One of the, ran out into the road. So as I came down towards them, I was waiting for the comment. Could see them eyeing me approach. Then, as I drew parallel with them, one said "You're muscley," and no one else said anything. Luckily I was past them by this point and they could not see me burst into a grin. Felt like Arnold Schwarzenegger for a moment. Then had to go back uphill and felt like I was carrying Arnold schwarzenegger for the next km.
Got back to the Crossfit box and guzzled almost all the kids' water. Then had to join in a team game doing handstands and tuck jumps with them.
