Visting The Wirral has become a kind of impossible dream of mine...
Why impossible and what's your motivation for visiting?
Money, first and foremost or I could go by myself. Other people not understanding the motivation the other. Wildlife (especially birds), culture (Port Sunlight) Ness Gardens, you name it...
I work in Port Sunlight It's where I do most of my running, around the historic village. And this Saturday, although not a bird-watcher, I hope to see, for the 1st time, the high tide at Parkgate.
You must be quite far away if money is an issue to get here?
In in Perthshire Scotland- beside Gleneagles. Beautiful hills!!
Originally from Milan (Italy), currently in Maidenhead (Berkshire, England).

Ps I'm sure you'll get to come over to England one day 😆

From Cambridge, east England, originally, but now live in Geneva, Switzerland, where I came to work in a UN agency in 1980. But still keeping in touch with the home country! I love reading all the comments and encouragement in these posts, though have not yet dared to tackle running. Feel too old...
hmmm sounds like you secretly want to try this. Go on, no one asks your age ( 59? moi?) Ran for the first 2 weeks without telling my family because I thought it wasn't me.
Glad you said 'feel' too old, because that's the bit you can change. Did you see Rignold's post about the chap who started at 89?
Billingham, North East England
Grew up in Rushden, Northamptonshire UK. Spent time in Burton-on-Trent, then Cricklewood, before settling in Rugby Warwickshire from 1988 to 2004. Since April 2004 I live in France. From 2004 to 2008 in Puiseux en France just north of Paris, since 2008 in a little village called Ménars, on the north bank of the Loire, 15 minutes from Blois, which is situated mid way between Tours and Orléans. Wonderful for running, as there is a path running along the levy used by walkers and cyclists and runners
Wow Zev, Rushden eh? I spent 10 years in Raunds and Rushden was the big town: I learned to ski in Rushden.
Skew Bridge ski slope?
One of my first jobs (starting Oct 1982) was working at Smith's Containers Ltd in Raunds, and then at their site between Higham and Rushden. They were later taken over by Reed Packaging I think
I'm a Brit in Germany. Have always wanted to visit New England, I've heard it is beautiful. Strangely enough my maternal grandparents got married in Boston. I'd like to see the church they got married in, amongst other things. There are other Americans posting here, you're not alone!
and strangely enough, my Mum was natural German speaker and spoke to us kids in German. I have many relatives in western Germany.
Thank you! I am only 45 minutes south of Boston. It is a beautiful city, but as I was born in the Bronx, NY and raised near New York City, Boston seems small to me. I've lived in Massachusetts going on 12 years this October. I really would love to see more of the world, especially Europe. I've been to Portugal, but have yet to venture out to see more. It is on my to-do list for sure.
I enjoy being amongst all of you wonderful people. As I read your replies and locations I try to hear your accents in my head as I read. It's lovely. I have always adored the British accent. It makes my English sound so.. Blah.
Sedgefield, County Durham, NE England
I am in the cold in South Yorkshire
Hello, I'm from just outside South London, UK. I work in an office, sitting at a desk all day, in a Sixth Form College (not many of us left). Oh, and I occasionally sneak online to see how folk are doing

Outside of Cleveland, Ohio, USA
Not so sunny Bournemouth, south coast of England 🇬🇧
I'm in Montreal, Canada . Not too far from Cape Cod. Well, closer than from England.
The edge of the Peak District, in the Derbyshire Dales. That's my view from my bed in my profile. I don't have curtains so that it is the first thing I see when I open my eyes (assuming I don't have a cat on my face that is and that it isn't completely white with mist) Very spoiled with lovely places to run, although there is an intellectual challenge in finding the flat bits!
Hey, I'm from the Peak District too, although the High Peak, not the dales. Intend to return in the next few years.
Hi, I'm from a place called Winwick in Warrington Cheshire, it's about 11 miles ish north of Manchester.
