No threat to Paula Radcliffe or Mo Farah. Just some fat bird with enough motivation to get her running shoes on, the sheer determination to run no matter how slow she does it and support from family and friends to make sure she doesn't give up giving her all and sprinting for the last few metres of her local parkrun course.
Thanks. I never really set out to inspire but am told I do so thought I'd use my photo to send out a little more inspiration to those who may need a little encouragement
Brilliant I watched a half-marathon at the 12th mile stage today and when people were due to be finishing around 2hr 10mins, a decent time- you honestly would have blended right in xx Keep going xx
Good god this has got to be the most unflattering pic ever but I love it too. I finished last with my hubby and the tailrunner just behind me, no-one else around to hide me lol
Yes I'm really proud of it. Dropped 2-3 sizes since new year and going to keep this for when I've dropped another 2 and can do that course a lot faster than I did yesterday
Anyways - that photo doesn't look like somebody " sprinting for the last few metres of her local parkrun course". It looks more like somebody "sprinting the first few metres of the rest of her life".
