Can't do it without you!

I realised today as I started the first run of week 3, that I can't do this without you guys out there. As I was plodding along out popped thoughts of your blogs - the shufflers, the waddlers, the determination and guts of everyone and the funny blogs that make me laugh. I imagined myself joining others who may possibly be doing exactly the same as me at that very moment.

So thanks to you all, please keep blogging!

Thanks also to my dog, who I now call 'doggie' on my c25k journey, my 'secret' companion (as my family don't know what I am up to yet!). I just have to see how much SHE is loving it and it keeps me going.

I know that feeling of support and how it can make you push on even when your brain is saying stop. Your blogs will help others as well.

We are at the same point in the program and I agree the support we receive on here is invaluable

The support on here is amazing, I doubt there is anyone who hasn't benefited from it.

Not only the"well dones" after a run or the encouragement before one, more that you can read the experiences of others and know they're dealing with the very same demons and difficulties you are.

I even find that writing a blog helps as if anything happens while on a run, I find myself thinking how I'll write it up and the distraction is great.

Good luck with the rest of the programme Petal.

Thank you Fingalo. It's funny how you get to know the 'people' on here, and yes, I've found too that writing helps. Maybe I'll write more about what happens on the runs, as things DO happen!

I too mentally write about my run as I go round, and it does help me get through tough bits - and also get even more out of the good bits! I've also found it really helpful reading how others coped with the challenges.

I also spend rather too much time reading the blogs - it's quite a treat to catch up with everyone's news, and read about people getting past things they didn't think they'd ever manage.

Carry on running Petal and doggie! (Doggie does sound cute!) I confessed that I'd started running in the second or third week, but only because it was Christmas and I had to pack my running shoes! Otherwise I might still be sneaking out in secret! :)

Thanks, greenlegs. Reading the blogs really motivates me, and I'll just mention the running casually next week. It's half-term so two kids will be sure to notice!!!

Couldn't agree more with you Petal :) I nearly packed it in all together last week but having discovered the blog and reading some inspiring stories I'm back in full force and even more determined to graduate. The prospect of posting another happy blog about a great run is what determines that great run. Puts a smile on your face just thinking about it. Best of luck with the rest of week 3 :D

I feel really tired today after week 3 run 1 yesterday. Hopefully will feel more energetic tomorrow. I'm off to do the strength and flex with doggie, down the lane and in the garden, so may energise me. Glad you are back in full force!
