Why does my brain go to a mind of a 4 year old in the first bit of a run

-legs hurt

-thirsty

-need a wee

-need a poo

-pants are too itchy

-tummy hurts

-feet hurt

-itchy big toe

and then zone out and enjoy the run

haaa haaa

Yes! Also: my shoelaces are going to come undone and, irrationally, my pants are loose and will fall off (because I've lost a bit of weight since I started, although not enough for that to happen!)

Or my undies are riding up.... Then it's all ok as you forget about it. By the time you are back Home you wonder why on Earth did you worry about it !

Oh that made me giggle. It's so true. Alot of these are before the run for me.

I wanna go,

lets go

lets go.

No wait

I don't wanna go,

I'm needing the toilet

Fooled ya! Wasn't really needing

I'm hungry

And so it goes on........... 😆

For some reason, running in the woods always makes me desperate for the loo! Hilarious memories!!

Runners don't "pass wind", they switch to their jet propulsion. XP

I always think I can't do it my back aches can't get my breath right. My brain tells me to stop but my heart says no keep going. This fight goes on for the first 10 minutes or so then I gradually get into my rythm and I'm fine until I get near to where I have decided to stop then my brain starts screaming at me to stop right now. It's so annoying. I always try to run past my designated stopping place but when I do and stop I'm shattered.

Having said that my distances are increasing and once recovered I feel good.

It is mind over matter I am determined to do a half marathon again this year.
