Having got almost to the end without issue I suffered a niggle in my left ankle over the course of W8R3 and W9R1.
Following the advice of the good and helpful souls on here that I probably had a shin splint and I needed to rest I havn't run since last Sunday.
I'm taking a daily dose of Ibuprofen but it doesn't seem to be going away- It even pains sometimes when I'm just sitting !! Its not excruciating or even unbearable but is more of a dull ache from time to time
As all the advice is that you rest for 2 weeks I was kind of expecting it to be easing off by now ??
Can anyone help or advise where to go from here
Thanks

So near and yet so far. I hope you find out what it is and get it fixed. I'm sure some of the more experienced runners on here will have some advice. In the meantime good luck!
Healing time will of course depend on what you have done but I would suggest that now might be the time to see your gp? You might benefit from the expert eye of a physio. I know its frustrating to be out so far in the programme but you don't want to aggravate things by going back too soon. Good luck.
I would go see your go and or a sports physio .. better to get to cause now than risk making it worse
Definitely time to see a physio! They will be able to accurately diagnose the problem and will get you fit again much more quickly than just rest and ibuprofen can. Good luck
I had niggle round my ankle , tried complete my run - bad mistake and long slow walk home ( did c25k last year) went to physio guy who gave me a little exercise followed by gradual build up again. His words ... most people get this, those trying to get to london marathon all seem to get it at similar time. Im only running up to 5 k . So I suggest you go see a physio who knows running. Exercise was along lines of, whilst sitting , keep knees and heels together and with short elastic band round ball of foot move problem foot out and back. As I say it was little exercise which quickly got everything back. But please go see physio, as you may have something different !
