Early January when I couldn’t catch my breath and 60 seconds was pushing my limit, it seems like it was only yesterday.
I ran 20 mins covering just under 2 miles(1.95 miles) averaging 10:25 minute miles. Isn’t bad for my little legs especially in harsh head wind and rain.
15 mins in I was still good, the last 5 mins and I was struggling, the wind was pushing hard and I was battling the gremlin in my head begging me to stop. I was hijacked with thoughts of stopping, taking a breather and getting my composure back. I couldn’t believe the nerve of me, I wasn’t going to let a bit of wind ruin this for me.
So I pushed and I broke through.
When Laura told me I was done.. I couldn’t believe it.
Week 6 is tomorrow, I feel like I can win this!

That wind is horrible isn't it! I was out yesterday and for the first 3km or so it felt really easy... then I turned around and had the wind and rain right in my face! Not easy at all.
Well done you! Those gremlins got the better of me on week 5 day 3 so I will be repeating tomorrow! I will also be running in the opposite direction so no massive hill to run up! Best of luck for week 6!
It's crazy how much you have to fight with yourself, at one point I thought I was going crazy because I had to constantly override my thought. It just didn't feel like it was coming from me..
Week 6 looks like a piece of cake after yesterday!
Wow, well done! I'm off on my final run of week 5 on Wednesday evening, hopefully I'll have the same perseverance as you! I hope that your next run will have some nicer weather as a treat =]
Very very well done. I did it tonight too and even though I went right through the 9 weeks 2 years ago, I still didn't believe I could do it tonight. I'm dying to shout it from the rooftops (or at least across all available social media) but not so sure anyone apart from us can understand the sense of achievement. Bring on the next 3 weeks!!
It's good that you get to experience the achievements again though, it will reaffirm that you can achieve things even though you're unsure yourself.
Keep it up! I made my achievement known via social media haha and my grandparents who when they found out told me not to kill myself haha! they thought I done it straight off the bat
