So next week (12th Feb in the night to be exact) I am departing for New Zealand to spend a glorious 2 weeks there.
I plan on taking all my running kit and continuing to run around in this amazing country.
But...
I have messed up my running times. I am on week 5 and I am completing run 2 tonight which means I then run again on Sunday then that's week 5 complete. Now on to week 6, I can then run Tuesday and Thursday then I fly out Friday and wont land till Sunday in the early afternoon. I will probably be jet lagged and fatigued so I can pick up the running on Monday but that leaves 4 days without running :s
I could possibly run Sunday if I sugar up and get my energy levels back?
I need a plan... I would hate to fall out of routine and loose what I have achieved.

Personally I would leave it until the Monday as you will have more energy. You won't lose the routine and you will run better when you are feeling more refreshed. Set days are great but as running becomes more and more part of our lives we do have to swap around a little bit - illnesses come and go, injuries and niggles too, all things that interrupt the set routine and that means thinking about and listening to our bodies!
Good luck with week 6 and have a fantastic time visiting and running🏃🏻 in New Zealand!😀
I agree. Sometimes a longer break is a good thing, you're revitalized for the next run. Jet lag and running is a tough go though, don't beat yourself up if it's harder than normal. Enjoy your holiday running - it's the best!
