A brief ish update on my missing mojo from before christmas, things are improving slowly but surely ...
After sleeping late on Christmas day and missing park run decided on a mini streak and to run everyday until I returned to work ..
In summary I did run everyday which was a real 1st for me averaging 4k ish a day ending with a total of just under 31k in total, not a huge total but achieved
Currently working on distance, endurance and stamina, speed and pace are out the window for now, that mojo is still to be found.
They do say a change is as good as a rest , certainly feel more focused and looking forward to finally getting to 10k a distance more than a year in the making .
Thanks Noaky , it has been pretty rubbish weather but where I am has escaped any real problems a little bit of wind and rain just made the runs a little more interesting haha
Being able to sleep in on Christmas Day! Bliss. No chance of that in our house. I think it is ok to unwind a bit over Christmas and New Year. Maybe it is just the winter thing: those short, dark, wet, cold days can do anyone's head in. I find it is always good to have a short-term goal so if the long-term goal is 10k, how about getting there in stages and making each stage a goal in itself?
I've been feeling a tad low lately, think a lot are, probably the dull weather and rain, but out this morning for a club run club run, did a slow jog warm up to meet others then did 5km, and totalled 6.88km, so happy with that and the sun even made a brief appearance..😄
Not_so_slow_rob, so good to hear you're persevering with your running and pushing on to hit 10k. I'm sure your mojo is winging its way back to you but, to be honest, you sound like you're doing pretty well without it. Keep up the good work, sweetie xx
