Feeling a tad lethargic today after travelling back from Somerset and our New Years celebrations ๐ but told myself a good run would wake me up! So, carefully timed to miss the rain, off I went as dusk fell, on my local 'pavement pounder'. Runkeeper updated me on my progress and much to my surprise I seemed to be managing a fair ol'pace for me๐ฎ, completing 5k in 29mins 29 secs! Very pleased with myself and just goes to show that the persistence and hard work does pay off eventually, although it is distance I aspire to rather than speed! I think doing a lot of running on quite muddy ground has definately strengthened my legs. Next run in a couple of days is my 'long' run, so hoping to add on to the 7k I did last time out. Happy new year and safe running to everyone. ๐๐

Well done you...! I must admit, I was glad this morning, that my next run out is scheduled for tomorrow! I am full of admiration for you getting out there. It is good how all the adverse conditions have strengthened our muscles...I feel much stronger generally.
Enjoy your long run...keep us posted
