Hey I'm contemplating re-starting my running app, I mainly want to loose weight but seriously don't mind toning up then loosing.
Anyone have any advice on how to stick to it, how long will it be till I notice some results?
Thank you

Do you mean Couch to 5k? You can download the podcast free from here. The podcasts seem more stable than the app, which people report is often a bit flaky
9 weeks of walk/runs - 3 times a week. It's a great programme. You will lose weight if you eat sensibly and healthily. You should tone up if you keep running and stick to your healthy diet.
Most of us have done other exercise to supplement our running and to get fitter, eg walking, swimming, cycling, zumba, gym or home based strength exercises.
I prefer,to think of running as a fitness tool because in my experience I have lost weight very slowly since I started running. You need to control diet to lose weight, I recommend My Fitness Pal, a free calorie counting app with a forum.
The first time I started cto5k I didn't diet and didn't lose any weight, which surprised me. My knee went in week 7 so ended up having to start over in August. This time I started the 5/2 diet at the same time and I've lost 20lbs since then. Your mileage may vary.
My personal experience (as someone who is trying to lose weight and get back into running) is that C25K itself (i.e. the 9 week program) probably didn't make a lot of difference to my weight loss - for that I had to start counting calories and eating healthy. However, in the last couple of weeks, as the runs have increased (just before and after graduation) I am noticing that it is beginning to make much more of a difference each week.
So, I would say that don't expect a weight loss to start off with during the C25K program (rely more on diet changes for that), but think of it as more laying the groundwork for fitness and strength, so that once you graduate and and can start longer runs, then you will start to see the difference
