Thanks to everyone for your support on this newly found running addiction. I ran my 30 minutes this evening after work and put in the fastest pace so far. According to Strava I completed 5k in a fraction under 30 minutes which is hilarious when I struggled running for one minute only 10 weeks ago.

For all of you still on the C25k journey, just stick with it and don't give up, the buzz at the end of it all is amazing.

Park runs are already part of my weekend, but what next?

Book yourself a race! Plan something longer - maybe a 10k in the new year (and how about a Santa run?!)

Now that you have completed the program, it's important that you keep going out that 3 times a week. Giving yourself another fixed goal will help make that easier.

Oh, and CONGRATULATIONS on graduating! Excellent job!

ASnailP I am already hooked, I seem to get a high just from getting out and running. I want to run more than three times a week but worry I might end up injured so pretty cautious at the moment.

I am definitely not ready for a race but plan to meet up with the local running club to join their beginners run on a Thursday evening.

I will keep you posted on how that goes.

That a really great result for 9 weeks! Just shows what 3 runs a week can do for you - many congrats!

As for what to do next, the answer is whatever you like! Some people are content sticking with 3 x 5k runs around their neighbourhood. Others like to join a club an run with a group. You can enter for a running race, like a 10k or even longer and train towards that, or you can go for one of the dramatic obstacle races that involve climbing over walls and jumping pits of fire! Whatever you choose to do with it, your running fitness is well worth maintaining - it's so much easier to keep it and gradually improve than it was to get here to start with!

Very well done! And Happy Running!

Well done, and thanks for the inspiration. I'm still at the 'struggling to run for one minute' stage...
