Don't be afraid, be excited! If it gets to tough you slow down, and then slow down more! Don't worry if you get passed by other people (including walkers), forget about everyone else and congratulate yourself on being out there and not going home until you have done the whole session...however slowly (unless you're really hurting). Then you repeat it if necessary, you will be fine. 1 month in well done!! I carry a small bottle of water which I sip of I feel I am drying up, stops me from feeling like I am out of breath. Good luck!

Tara

No need to be afraid. Take it slow and steady and you will be fine. Laura has prepared you. Let us know how you get on :-)

Every week seemed hard to me. My mind was saying no but my body was saying yes! Trust your body and tell yourself that you can do it - because you can!

Remember week one? You did it. Weeks two and three, too. Your body is getting better and better at this game and don't let doubts stop you now. Get those trainers on, get out there, and forget the fact that it's "WEEK four" - just listen to Laura and do what you're told and hey presto, it'll be done & dusted. Gag those gremlins and tie 'em to their chairs with their underpants over their heads. You've got this!

Tara-j said it all really. The programme is brilliantly structured to make sure that you will do it.

Remember you are in control. Just go slow. Repeat if you have to, bu most of all, believe in the plan and yourself, that way you will be relaxed which is the only way to run properly.

You WILL do it!!

I was afraid of every week and I did it, so u can too. Trust Laura completely. All u did so far, including rest days has got u ready for week 4! Nice and steady, just plod and breathe well. Only think about one run at a time. If my calves ached I used to say to myself "it won't kill you, only a few minutes more and it is over!!" Julie

JUST COMPLETED MY RUN!!!

Here is the story:Three minutes into the run i was like wtf three minutes passed already?!i could run like two hours straight. My confidence fell down after the 90second cooldown becouse for some reason i felt fatigued going into my first whole five minute run...But it was like my legs just kept running autimatically i wasnt even trying it was just enjoyable...Then the big pause came and i felt even more fatigued going into my second three minutes run but just like last time-no pain in the legs just a bit on the side of my ribs...The last five minutes were really hard especially the last three minutes, the pain in my chest and in my ribs became near to unbearable and i knew i had to slow down my pace but yet still no pain in my legs so i just decided to ride it out!On the last thirty seconds i even went max speed becouse I felt like it :D

Not sure if this feeling is from the high of the run but i know that i dont have to be scared of any week anymore and that I will one day run the 100miles marathon-yes i know it sounds crazy but i feel crazy confident about it!!!

Hurrah! Well done you well done!

What this programme gives you, eh...

Remember, it's a balance- you have to trust the programme, but YOU are in charge- you're in charge of how slow you can manage to run ( yes I mean go as slow as you can to get your body and mind used to coping with it!); you're in charge of choosing to get your kit on and step out the door; you're in charge of repeating runs if you need to, or being brave and moving forward even if it's a bit scary, and what a buzz when it's a bit scary but you manage it!

😀
