Back at Week 8 at last, and spreading the joy of running! Hooray!😀

It's almost four months to the day since I tore my calf muscle at work, having made it, with great pride and much excitement, to Week 8 of the programme. Following an extended period of hobbling around, not being able to run, lots of physio with a very wonderful lady, and a very slow and at times uncomfortable return to running, I am now, at last(!), back where I was! Phew! It has taken a long time and several false starts but has been so worth it! All you fabulous c25kers on here have remained my inspiration and I think it is wonderful how we support each other on our different journeys. The plus for me has been that my fourteen year old son has now also taking up running and we are both on the last couple of weeks together (afraid he's already faster than me,but that's the beauty of having youth on your side I guess😉). We have both signed up for a charity Fun run at the weekend, on his birthday, which we are both looking forward to😀

So thank you, thank you, C25k for being here; I am sure I would have lost the will without this forum! I also want to say to anyone on that injury couch, hang on in there - some things do take a while to put right but you will get there in the end!

😀🏃🏻

Keep at it! I started C25k last summer but after a groin injury I had to stop and rest it for months. Didn't take up the podcasts again until June this year and it's taken me longer than the 9 weeks to get to the last run. It's feels so good when you there second time around. I run with my mum, too! Keep at it, just a few runs to go until you graduate and we'll be cheering you all the way!
