As it is pouring rain I feel guilty because I can't go for my run. Tell me how you deal with this. Thank you

Having just come back in from a run in the pouring rain I can't give much more advice than to say that it's not as bad as you think - you don't need to be running for long to have warmed up enough to deal with even torrential rain.

Honest!

I run. Each to their own of course but I love running in the rain, in fact I often pray for it when I run. Have you tried it? You may enjoy it too.

Squats and core. 😀. Well that's what I tell myself when the weather is just too bad. Not that I am that good at carrying it through though. I need to work harder at those. We have had the sort of weather here that I don't go out in. there is not much keeps me at home but pounding rain and wind is one of them. I love a rain shower though.

I love running in the rain too, and I recommend trying it - but wear a peaked cap or visor to keep the rain out of your eyes :)

I did my week 5/3 in the gym yesterday so ran the 20 mins but it did not feel as good. Dreadfully sweaty, too many distractions and the treadmill speed was controlling my pace rather than me being in charge! Did not enjoy as much as an outdoor session.

The distraction - man continuously lifting vest to view and stroke abs after each weight exercise. Break the mirrors!

haha, oh I don't miss the gym! There would always be a large group of men hogging the weights, stroking their muscles at their refection in the mirror! hehe

I just go, it rains all the time anyway.

Oh I love running in the rain, nowt better in my humble opinion :-)

Give it a go , you might love it . Oh and if you wear specs, try a baseball cap or something with a visor or peak just to keep the rain off 'em :-) xxx

Good Luck ! :-) xxx

Reading the above replies it looks like it's worth a go.

Even if you hate it, you've got out there and tried it.

Same here, my fave running is in a light shower of rain.... But it was chucking it down and blowing a hooley when I went out on Monday and I loved it! I wear a tricky 70's style headbandthigy ....😱Much better than a hot day x 😄☔️
