WK2 R1

A lot dubious with WK 2 R1 this morning, hoping to be able to complete (COMPLETED). I was concerned about whether right leg would hold or not (yes it did) as last week following runs it ached a little/sometimes a lot, however it was not painful and I could wear any shoes to work flat or slight heel (not so when I first started a month ago flat hurt though slight heel was okay).

As well as week 2 C25K I am completing stretch and flex again I am on week 2.

I have also purchased a cheap (less than £20 following a 70% reduction in cost) running shoes which I had hoped would support my ankle and ease up on aching ankle and knees as well (reading many many posts). I was sceptical and I am totally gobsmacked that I am not aching/hurting legs (right one especially) are okay, I ached for half an hour or so after the run this morning but I don't feel achy or anything else as I am posting this at 3pm.

I am a poor poster but an avid reader, many thanks for all the help and support, I am looking forward to Wednesdays run. :) :) :)

As long as you're looking forward to the next run, all's well. Hope it goes well.

Many thanks, I wasn't in the end as was out of my comfort zone, however after finding a bit of courage completed 2nd run.

It's great when your shoes help you to enjoy your run. You certainly got a bargain!

Have a great run in Wednesday.

Hi there

I was looking forward to my 2nd run of week 2 but went in the evening instead of early morning due to working so was totally out of my comfort zone and lots of people around. first run of the sequence was hard though I am really chuffed to say all was completed.

Well done !!! I must say that I too have been out in the evenings this week and have felt even more self conscious as people seem to be sitting in the traffic looking at me !!! They're not of course but that's how I felt!!!!

I have just done my 2nd run of the week and it did seem to be a little bit easier than the first time.

Good luck with R3
