I am too hungover to run today.

I am ashamed.

That is all.

Best cure there is, as long as you keep drinking water as well.

There's a lot of it going around! Full fat coke and cadburys choc. Or a bloody mary.

Bloody Mary!? *boaks*

When I was young and going through a divorce I used to drink too much every night, like you do, and then a very kind young man at work (there's a story there too, but best glossed over now ...) used to take me over to the pub at lunchtimes for a bloody mary. Then I worked like crazy all afternoon to make up for my sluggish mornings.

I'm a reformed character now, but just thought I'd pass on the benefit of my wisdom!!!

Yes a Bloody Mary, as useitorloseit says it will put a spring back in your step. It also has the added advantage of being one of your 5-a-day because of the tomato juice.

If you had fun, what the hell... Life's too short for regrets! Run tomorrow and in the mean time, have a big glass of water. Or six.

You will probably find it was the "or six" that caused the problem in the first place.

I do love to read about others like me. I seem to remember doing one of the early runs week 2 or 3 by running home from the Pub half cut and then reporting it to this lot. Boy did they take the mickey. Anyway good on your for admitting it, now take your punishment, get a good night sleep (and seriously plenty of water) and then go and run tomorrow.

I have memories of making myself run with a hangover when I was doing the c25k, like a kind of punishment for getting myself into that state (no excuses!) Have somehow managed to stop it happening anymore. Something happened and I started to prefer running, feeling healthy, early nights, etc, to drinking! Not sure what though!
