Guinness, the secret to a PB?

Well I went out last night with the intention of having just a couple of pints of Guinness, it turned into 4! Surprisingly, at the Park Run this morning I posted a new PB of 25m 32s. Quite amazed really, in December I couldn't run 400 meters without stopping and graduated in April. It would be nice if I could hit 24 minutes by the end of err summer, if we get one. To all those on the C25K, keep with it, you will get there if you stick with the plan. A special mention to AW (Siobhan) I love your dedication to get on two buses and do it, you deserve to succeed.

Well done! Did you have plenty of water after? or maybe the Guinness makes you go faster...😂

I've had 5 pints of the black stuff in Ireland and and it didn't affect me 1 bit , was gorgeous! Not even a sore head. Think there's something to be said for draught Guinness..😉

I wouldn't say plenty of water, just a 500 ml bottle. It does taste better though in Ireland for some reason.

Great time! Beer always seems to work for me - it's all the B vitamins and complex electrolytes you know. :)

Maybe I should have 8 in that case, I might have gone even faster.
