Well done and in such a stunning place. I adore Venice and ran there myself last year. It was a truly magical run.
It's a beautiful place but I get hopelessly lost whenever I'm there (3 times so far) so God knows how I'd be able to run there!
Wasn't it hard running on all that water though? Venice to Leicester? You get all the ' good gigs ' eh?
Looks amazing - I love running in different places! I'm about to do w7r1 tomorrow but found yesterday's run very tiring - I know it is all in the mind, so just keep telling myself "I can do this!"
Fabulous! I'm going to Venice (again! I just love it) at the end of Aug with friends, all of whom are much more experienced runners than me - I'm currently about to start wk 9 - woohoo! - one of them did 5 marathons a couple of years ago ( the year we were all 50, and went to Venice to celebrate!) This time, we might actually go out on a few runs together ( not sure the Venetians will cope, but still...)
Any advice on running routes? I could only think of along the Zattere! Thanks 😊
I did it around my hotel, cause there was a really long and wide avenue but it was just for pedestrians.
This is the route I did there : mapmyrun.com/workout/106740...
In the central area is really impossible to run because of all that tourists, but if you go in the afternoon to one of the islands then you can manage it and the visual is just awesome
That's great - thanks! And a really good idea to try the islands. I agree about the central area - hopelessly busy, and all the bridges!! Thanks for your route - I'll tell the others. 😊
