This gorgeous black bear was at the back of my house....feeling safer if I run indoors for now!
This is why I'm sticking to the treadmill - Couch to 5K
This is why I'm sticking to the treadmill
Oh wow! Where do you live?
Crikey! And I get nervous seeing a loose dog!
I recently toured many of the US West Coast National Parks and would have loved to do some running in them. BUT - there were too many things that eat you/stomp on you in the vicinity - bears , moose , Bison, etc
At least here in Australia we only have snakes and spiders .
Are you in Millarville? I just ran the 8 mile bunner a couple of weeks ago! Lovely running area.
I'm in Black Diamond, where the race started (I think). We back on to the curling rink where mr. Bear was wandering. Are you a local, too, runswithdogs?
Ah, yes the race started in Black Diamond. I'm from Calgary. Have you run that race before? It was a really good time, I'm going to try and run it every year. The community spirit is great. I didn't think anyone on the forum was anywhere near me
Run the race? I can barely run a tap! I'm one run from graduating, which I'm going to do today - I thought I'd do it on Canada Day. I'd love to be able to do that race, so I'll be trying to keep up with regular runs and work on improving my times. I'm so surprised there's anyone near me, too! Thought I was the only Albertan on the forum....how did you hear about it?
You should sign up next year!!! If you keep up the running over winter and build a little distance it would make for a great goal. Lots of folks were run-walking it, myself included during the latter half. It was my first race over 5k and i loved every minute (almost).
The program was recommended to me last June by a colleague. I had signed up for a 5k with some folks at work for September but didn't know how to start. It's a great program, I plug it to everyone.
Enjoy your graduation run
Wow and I thought the streets of santiago were dangerous with the dogs on the loose!
Blimey ! Fancy opening your curtains on a morning and seeing that ! Ha ha !
Yes you're probably safer on the treadmill xxx
Awwwww
And awwwwww again
Crikey! It must be a pain in the neck though to not be able to go outside for fear of being eaten alive. Blightey does have its advantages
Treadmill it is then
Is it just me that looks at the picture and in their head hears a young American boys voice saying "Be-en, Be-en"?
Have to be a certain age to get that reference I think
He looks enormous. I would be staying inside too if I saw him outside !
Definitely a stay on the treadmill day!
