If its not a silly question ..

Just back from W7R2 which was TOUGH. Gremlins have learnt a new word,

" JUST". Just give today a miss, just about there you might as well stop now, just slow down and walk for a minute etc etc . Anyway was feeling a bit despondent even though I finished, but Runkeeper tells me I ran quite a bit quicker than normal (not deliberately!). Would this account for me feeling more than usually knackered by the end? Will try and be more aware next run to stay slow.

Yup, that'd do it! Try and go super slow till you graduate and then think about some speed work. No point going like a bat out of he'll yet!

I think describing my pace as like a bat out of hell would be stretching it somewhat!! However, I take the point and will curb my exuberance on Sunday. Don't want to fail so near the end and I know myself well enough to know that if I don't complete a run I may struggle to get out there again thanks for the advice

Almost certainly yes.

The gremlins tend to stay away when you focus on taking it slow and steady. I am sure you will be fine next time.

I struggle with that "just". Word too.

I will just do a shorter run, I will just take it easy on the hill. Oh and

JUST DO IT

Loads of people will tell you on here that running is as much about your mind as you body. When the excuses hit just think what you can achieve!!!

Then just think how proud you will be of yourself

Good. Luck to you so nearly there now--- just don't give up !!!!!
