I graduated a couple of years ago and have religously run 3 times a week for 30/40 minutes ever since come rain or come shine. I want to now start some serious running (half marathon perhaps?) and am desperately seeking the "old gang" ...anyone there?
Anyone remember me?: I graduated a couple of... - Couch to 5K
Anyone remember me?
Don't know that I count as "old gang" but I do remember you! Well done for sticking at it come rain or shine. I'm guessing that, like me, you get some extremes of temperatures. Unlike me, you've kept getting out there, although I do have the excuse of having had some ankle injury problems.
I got all the way up to 10km, but haven't done that for a while - I'm wary of pushing too much and getting injured again. Not much incentive here.
I'm not part of your old gang but you made some lovely replies to my posts as I was struggling to get through the program. Welcome back and I'm sure you will still find lots of HM advice on here. I did a HM on Sunday and used the Asics build your own plan and there are a few on here that have used that too. Hope you find some help and stick around.
I'm still here! Lovely to see you again.
My running will never be serious (I think that's my goal) but I've done some nice routes that happened to be Quite A Long Way.
Lovely surprise to see your comment, I like you have been plodding around 3 times week. Then 5 months on the bench after a shoulder op, very painful hence doing it again. You may find some of the old ones on C25Kers on FB .
You were on here in my early days, Delia. Well done on keeping up the habit. By its very nature this site is constantly churning over its active membership, but a few of your contemporaries still pop up on here.
JuicyJu just ran the Paris marathon a few weeks ago.
Danzargo is training for his first HM.
Oldgirl has fought through plantar fasciitis and got out running again.
Googleme and Pat are still here as you can see.
The new gang are just as supportive as the users of this forum have always been, and although it might take you a while to get to know us all again, we would love to share your new running challenges.
Keep running, keep smiling.
Hi Delia. I remember you well. So pleased that you've been able to keep running. Me too; I had a small stroke at the beginning of the year but I'm still running and edging towards a half marathon. Most of the old gang are active on Facebook now but I recall that you don't do FB? Is that still the case? I don't often post on this site now, but look at it most days, but am on FB very regularly. You'll perhaps remember Sue Grant? I've seen Sue a couple of times; she had a place for the London Marathon but couldn't take it up this year as she's suffering dreadfully with sciatica.
Best regards from OldNed
I remember you! You may not remember me though as I'd only just started... I'm still running.
Delia!! Great to see you again! Your name cropped up today on Facebook as a long lost, fondly-remembered member of 'our gang' (the class of 2012/13!) It's brilliant to hear from you.
I'm sorry to say most of our cohorts have migrated to Facebook. We have a Closed Group on FB. I remember your reservations about joining FB, but you know, you can use a pseudonym if you prefer.
You'll find the old gang on the group I manage 'Beyond C25K'. As I say, it's a closed group, so if you ask to join, I or one of the other admins, will accept your invitation. The group is busy and almost all the old gang are there - plus lots of newer members.
Hey hey hey Delia, it is great to hear from you, everyone is on the way over from FB to say hi. I hope life is treating you well after the other year.
Exciting highly recommend the HM ambitions.
Hi Delia, like swanscot I have also just got onto HU to see your comment; had forgotten my password it has been so long! Please do join us on FB, a lot of the old gang are there. I have had a bad year (2015) of running but last year did a half marathon! Lots to catch up on x
Delia, how nice to see you again! I hope you don't feel ganged up on now All the very best to you and good luck with the HM ambition - of course you can do it!
Well hello stranger!!! I mentioned you today in the FB group and look what happens, you get inundated with good wishes from the old gang of 2012, how amazing is that and how lovely that you are remembered so so fondly!
Glad to hear you are still running, that is wonderful news indeed. Please do come join us, we all miss you! Lots of love and hugs as always xxxxx
Here's someone else who had to remember her old HU password! Great to hear that you're still running. I hope life's treating you well after all the trials you faced a couple of years ago. Miss you - do come and see us on Facebook xxx
Had to reset my password - it wouldn't let me in otherwise - see the lengths people are prepared to go to for you. So good to know you are still running - I am seriously impressed that you have kept up 5ks all this time. Hope you're doing fine and will keep in touch. Come on over to the dark side of fb!
Hi Delia,
As you've probably worked out we've been asking after you on Facebook today. Started with a post about our HU names. I had thought the other week about you and what you've been up to so it must be fate that you have posted on here whilst we were thinking of you. Most of us have moved over to FB as easier to manage. It would be lovely if you joined us. xxxx
Great to hear from you again. Have fond memories of our catch up with Malcy
Haven't been on here for ages as a lot of the old gang now inhabit Facebook instead
Well done you for keeping up running 3 times a week.
Hi Delia, hope you are well? All are a chatter over on FB about you so I thought I would join the throng ☺️ So glad you are still running. It's been a wonderful journey for many of us! Tricia x
Well knock me down, cover me in honey and call me Mildred! If it aint me old mucker DELIA! I remember you well and have often wondered how you've been? Glad you are still running like the wind.
