W4R2 smashed!! 😀

So I thought I'd let you all know how I got on with this run, as the previous one KILLED me and I was very much dreading this one. Well I completed the run SMILING!! I actually enjoyed it and was running along saying come on Kate you CAN do it!! See I'm quite stubborn, and I've been doing this on the treadmill. I really want to complete 5k in 30 minutes so I have been running at 10kph.. However today I ran at 9, which is an extra 40 seconds per KM and boy it was SO much better. I could actually see the end! Don't get me wrong it still challenged me and I sweated away my fairy dust but I can't believe I'm running for 16 minutes. I am so proud, I can't wait for the next run! And stop being stubborn Kate and stick at 9kph! 😊

Well done Kate! I have that run to do tomorrow, it is good to hear that you didn't find it as bad as the first one. I found that one quite hard going too. I am not sure how much slower I can run though! Keep going.

Well done Kate. Speed really doesn't matter at this stage, slow it right down if you need to. Once you reach the longer runs you will get an idea of the speed/pace you can sustain which itself will improve as your legs strengthen and your heart and lungs gain in capacity.
