What do you think is the best way to carry your phone? Has anyone tried the armbands or is a belt bag a better option?

I carry my phone in an armband - makes the headphone connections easier and I don't notice it after a couple of minutes. (Waterproof armband from Sports Direct).

Personaly I prefer the belt option. I end up getting tangled up in the earphone cable qhen its on my arm.

I put mine in a belt as I have my iPod on my arm. It works for me and it doesn't juggle around.

I put my phone in a little zip pocket I have at the back of my running tights , also have one in my new shorts ( bought for this lovely ,warm weather) . :-)

I have capris with a side zip??? or a bum bag?? Armbands are really uncomfy in my book, but you need to find something that works for you...

I use an arm band and plug my ear buds in like John.

Mine is just a cheapo one from eBay, but does the job.

I have been having great success using these - soft leather(ette) spectacles cases pics4world.com/vb/imgcache/... They are almost give-a-way items at optometrists and I often find them in "opportunity" shops for 50 cents .

I clip them onto either my running belt ( when I carry water) or onto the waistband of my running shorts at my side. Being low down around the waist , they dont bounce around ( especially on my solid running belt) - I barely know its there and I have very easy access to the phone.

armband sound like a good idea, but in practice they don't work for me. I use a belt and connect to headphones with Bluetooth, so no cables

Wrist band rather than arm band. It allows you to see you phone more easily (wear phone upside down on your wrist. Here is the one I am using at the moment. It is great. amazon.co.uk/Armband-MyBand...

I use a belt which has a special hole for the earphone cable..it also has a pocket for my house key. Trail the earphone cable down my back so I don't catch it when running. It's light and waterproof - don't really know it's there.

Another option if your running capris/shorts don't have a large enough pocket is to add a pocket, in the form of a magnetic running pouch. I have a RooSport from theroosport.com/ which fits onto the waistband of whatever I'm wearing.

If you are looking to buy an armband I'd suggest looking one specifically for your phone, or a universal 5-inch or so so one. Armband works for me, although I haven't tried other options. I use my iPod or phone with it, as and when I feel the need to track my runs or not.

Happy hassle free running,

w~

the Armband doesn't work for me as I have really puny arms :( . It seems to slip down and I end up with it in my hand and get tangled. I have tried it in my jacket pocket but that again gets tangled. I run without earphones last week and just put it on speaker in my pocket - the only downside with that is not everyone should be subjected to my music tastes :)

I'm still fiddling around with this too. Trousers or jackets with pockets work well, but the little pocket at the back of running tights doesn't, nor does a belt really, I find the buttons on my phone get pressed and turn off RK or rewind my music...it's driving me crackers... an arm band seems to work best ATM but takes some fiddling to get the phone in it and sometimes it comes undone, or rubs my arm sore. Not much help, sorry!

Not what you're looking for?
