Cross training

Cross training of all kinds is good for us runners, be it cycling, swimming, cardio blah blah.

This is my cross training partner for the week. He likes extreme distances and extreme weather. We nearly got blown away yesterday!

Here he is in his usual place! He's a French Basset by the way.

Surely the best cross training partner one could find! :)

Such a cutie. I haven't taken our Zoey with me on any training yet (except for regular brisk walks) I need to focus on the training. :)

I would start her early. I left our dog at home until last week and found that she couldn't cope despite loving a long walk. I wish I had built her muscles up like I had built mine. :)

Miss W - I'm in love! Mr French Bassett has the most amazing look that has reached into my heart. As for his pinky nose, well I just want to place a big kiss on it. He really would encourage me to do more cross training!

I'm pretty sure my day would pass just sitting and talking to his "tell me everything" face.

Have fun!

He has the kindest eyes you've ever seen. He sits and looks at you, he sometimes lowers his head as if he's embarrassed. He is quite a handful as he's so strong. We're getting better at walking together though. He's not catapulting me half as much these days. He can pluck me off my feet when he goes into a charge! I have to be alert to cats and squirrels as if he goes, he goes! I have to hang on to things, like railings or street lamps and then brace myself for when he reaches the extent of his bungee. LOL
