The joy of being back in the uk

I flew back home from Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday. Spending nearly 3 weeks running on a treadmill in the hotel gym has been so boring, I survived it thanks to the Rolliing Stones and visualising my seafront run whilst doing it. So today, it was fabulous to get back out on my seafront, even though it was raining. Happy Easter everyone.

Hope you had a good trip and well done for keeping the running going, although I can imagine it is a bit dull on the treadmill. Not quite the same, but I think I had made it a bit dull for myself by pretty much doing the same route round and round the park every time. New distractions definitely improved things today. Glad you enjoyed your seafront run today. That's my aim this week, to run by the sea. It's less than 2 miles away but I still haven't run there yet! Ridiculous!

Thank you. I am lucky that I can be at the sea front by the time I have finished my warm up walk, and have a few options on routes for variety (one involving big houses to gawp at).

Audio books! Work outside as well as on a treadmill. I've even found I've extended my run just as an excuse to complete the next chapter!
