On Saturday 7 March, Portsmouth joggers C25K 'graduated' at Southsea Park Run, we started our training in January, twice a week and doing our homework without the group over the weekend, and it works! I ran the 5K in just over 42 minutes, it's a start, now I have something to 'beat' I couldn't be happier, the group support was fantastic, and the leaders just amazing. I know I would not have done this alone, I like my settee to much!

Great photo!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's the best way to graduate. Good luck with running the world.......if you know what I mean.....
Keep running, keep smiling.
Well done, I'd worked out you were in Portsmouth because you come up on the 'people near me list' and saw a few first timers did the Southsea Parkrun yesterday. Nice day for it, hope to see you there one day. It's a brilliant well supported event - just waiting to build up a bit more distance before I try it myself.
Wonderful!! Although an Aussie, I know the Portsmouth/Southsea area VERY well and would love to do a Parkrun there someday. Now that I know it exists I will definitely put it on my "must do" list for the next time we come to the UK
You're definitely 'going for it' in that picture. Well done !
Brilliant!!!!! All that running and you're still smiling. Congratulations - you should be chuffed to bits with yourself.
Thank you all for your comments, I am over the moon 😃
ooh more Pompey folk! Will be doing the Parkrun in a couple of week once I feel up to it. Well done you!
what a fabulous picture, well done you thats a great achievement
Congratulations - what a lovely photo. You look so delighted!
Many congrats. Well done you. A support party is everything!
Why put 'graduated' in quotes? This is something you should feel very proud of! Congratulations!
Hello from a fellow Portsmouth person, it's going to be a few weeks before I do my first Parkrun (I'm repeating week 5 as it didn't go so well last week) but I'll hopefully see you there in a few weeks!
