Haha :D Maybe you still can take a holiday but you'll have to check out the running routes first ;)

Never been on one so I can't comment :D But I'm sure you will have just as much fun with your training. Who needs holidays anyway ;)

Hahaha! I know how you feel. I booked one last year that had a gym just in case it was too hot for me to run. I don't like it as much at the gym but it served it's purpose! Can't stop for anything can we!!! X :-)

I went on holiday for 2 weeks last summer just after making it to W7R1. I took all my running gear and ran .... 0 times! I started back at W5 when I got home. The intention was there, but I can take rain anywhere in the world with me and it lashed down in Italy! Plus the Aperol Spritz was going down quite nicely ...

Alcohol is good...... I think ;)

That's the spirit! ;-) Having said that, an easy week is always good for any training plan, just to give the body a bit of extra time to recover, so maybe you can squeeze in a wee holiday after all?

Holidays are the best ...............time to run somewhere new. Pack your running gear first and you can't go wrong.

I get a bit nervous running somewhere in case I get lost. I tend to run round the block about 100 times

Yep, you're hooked! No doubt about it.

You could take your running shoes wherever you go though

Oh yes Sue, that's a sign you're addicted. Mine last year got right in the bloody way of my training; I'm not having a holiday this year for the same reason and next year's will revolve around a race abroad!

I did that in my hotel room in December: window, to door, window to door, window to door, and repeat over and over and over again :D

Omg don't think I'm that hooked!

Miles_Yonder profile image

I was on the ground floor when I did it! :D we're a unique breed, us runners, aren't we?! I'm definitely not doing a holiday this year as it'd just get in the way of my challenge. If I can't get into the London Marathon next year, I hope to do the French Riviera Marathon, which means it would be a running holiday! :D

Ooh now that sounds like a plan Miles. Although I would stop at running from the window to the door ?
