Today I really pushed myself to go out, and I'm glad I did.. It's been all too easy to stay at home hibernating, plus my husband's now a cripple with one operated foot, and goes into hospital again for the other one to be operated on on Thursday, so it's a bit harder to find the time at the moment, what with running around for him and the children.
So anyway, this is the longest break I've had without running since starting C25K in May, and I was starting to get worried I'd 'lose it' if I didn't 'use it'.
I managed 4.12km in 33 minutes which ain't bad, I suppose, but I had been starting to get a bit quicker, although I didn't push it today.. I was just pleased I could still do it! Today my mantra was "Keeping going when you want to stop makes you stronger".

I haven't had a proper run since my race (been doing little runs) so i understand and life does just get in the way sometimes! Well done and i think i will be telling myself the same thing
Reading your post makes me just want to get out there now that i am back in Chile. Going to set the alarm early for thursday as promised OH i would run with him but i might just go tomorrow
Well done for getting out there! So what if you've become a little slower - you have proven that you still have it, and that you're still very much a runner. It can be hard to fit time for your running in when there are too much else going on, and I know from experience that having a partner in hospital isn't exactly motivating for exercise. Hope you feel stronger and pleased
