A quick Google search suggests that if it is a scam then theres qute a few scammers! Sounds interesting, but if it boils down to keep fit and eat healthily, then it would be pretty disappointing. I genuinely lost interest at a passage that included the phrases 'millions of Americans' and 'spirituality of running' which made it sound like some kind of salvation through sending your money kind of thing.

On the other hand, I could just be a miserable gnarly old British sceptic and someone else here might just have found it life changing. But I don't need that, C25k already did that for me....

I bought the book from Amazon quite early on in my C25K journey. I found it very useful! not only for the physical side of running (alignment, avoiding injury), but also from the psychological side. Its a fairly short book, easy to read, the advice is practical, and I would recommend it. I think that there are also videos on YouTube. There is a second book, I think about marathon running but I'm nowhere near ready for that!! :)

I looked through the contents page of the book on Amazon, and I'm pretty sure I won't be getting into the whole 'chi from your food' thing, but I'm interested in it as a way of running without injuring yourself, as my calf pain is still stopping me from restarting the c25K atm. I've ordered a cheap 2nd hand copy from ebay, so I'll see if it's any use. I did have a look on Youtube, and the videos there don't offer up a lot, which is what made me wary of the scam thing - if someone is trying to make money from selling lots of their books or getting you to pay someone to teach you their thing, without much info for free on Youtube, then it feels like a scam to me- although it could just be someone trying to run a business.

Hi all. It's certainly not a scam. I'm the recently-appointed director of Chi Running in the UK & Ireland. I'll be presenting and running workshops at the Running Show 22-23 November at Sandown Park if you want to come along for a chat (it's free entry this year if you register beforehand). You can also find more info at chirunning.uk plus my website N8pt.com. There's also a growing community on Facebook so feel free to join the group ChiRunningUK
