I think as new runners we do get these random aches and pains. It's as our bodies, previously unused to running, get accustomed to it. We get stronger as we run further and longer. These are early days in running terms, even after a year we're still classed as beginner runners. Your body has to catch up with our running legs. You can make things better by doing other exercise, such as walking, cycling, swimming, zumba, aerobics, gym etc etc, all help to make us stronger

The run/walk sessions of C25k are not long or too onerous so I think you'll be ok. Make sure you slow it right down and go very steadily. Your steps short be short, don't do long strides, do as Laura says and keep everything "under your hips"

Let us know how you get on
