...no, not talking Sci-Fi...talking about the fabulous peeps in this here fabulous community!
I was feeling a little glum and cheesed off with myself yesterday, not to say a wee bit foolish for allowing myself to wind up on the injury bench. But, the camaraderie here is tremendous - I now know that it's not just me who has ended up on the bench post-graduation...I was worried that if I stall now, I may never get started again - I can see now that if it's something we really want to do we go back to the running...still determined, but wiser (& slow and steady).
So - thanks for your amazing support and advice - again!!

Hi Tiki - sorry to hear you've hit the injury couch. Quite a few of us have done that as you say since graduation. Great news most people do get off it and are back running a little wiser. Who knew we have these competitive little devils lurking just waiting to set us a challenge for ourselves.
Got to agree this is a superb forum for advice, help and a kick up the bum when you need it.
Bless you , awww this is a fab community isn't it hon. You have def got the bug, and no doubt you'll be up and out and at it again soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Not feeling sorry for myself today...was so bloomin' emotional yesterday! Was working out in site today, for a short time, & had a few ouchy moments, so really have to get this healed...so will be forcing myself to stay on the couch!
You're right - I've definitely got the bug! I can't quite believe it - the running is not really all that pleasant when I'm doing it, but gets better as I find a rhythm, then I feel so elated when I finish & can't wait to get out again! Bizzare! (that might just be me..lol)
No, not just you.... I'm not exactly 'loving' the running when I'm doing it , or feeling like I've got ANY sort of rhythm going , but it's the feel good factor at the end of the mammoth task that I'm hooked on . Glad you feeling better my lovely xx
Sorry to read that you are injured but the fact you are still here is great and you will get back out there once you recover. Look after yourself in the meantime
You're right, this forum has proved a real find. I feel very lucky to have found it. Thank you everyone!
Well belated congratulations on graduating and welcome to the common room (sorry you slipped through my radar there) but stop hogging the seat by the fire - that's for them half marathoner peeps with lungs the size of airships Anyway uncongratulations on ending up on the bench - absolute naughtiness on your part - one hundred lines - "I must not overdo it - I am still a learner graduate". I sense you will be back out there ASAP - you have the craving and it will not go away - so sit back, relax, work out your winter running wardrobe and everyone here looks forward to seeing you back out in those highlands screaming 'freedom' with a blue face as you (gently) run through the heather.
