Nekkid running.....

No I was wearing clothes - although still only running in a vest (and leggings!). My long sleeved running top is going to have to wait in the wings a bit longer. Today was my first run without Laura! No music, no listening to Map My Run telling me what my last Km split was (although I did use it to record today's run) and today I ran faster and achieved a 5k again in just over 34 mins. I think I had become to reliant on Laura telling me how far I had run - to the point where I couldn't wait to finish when she said I had run for 30 mins. I had been worrying that I was going too fast when MMR was telling what speed I had completed the last Km at, so it was interesting that I ran quicker without it. I also really enjoyed not having to keep putting an earbud back in my ear or prodding the other one back down my cleavage!

Here's to more nekkid runs......

I think there's a lot to be said for running"naked" like that. Gives you time to enjoy the run, instead of constantly chasing the seconds. Glad you enjoyed it.

Sounds like a great run - nice to just enjoy it without any interruptions.

Wow, well done! That sounds great. How did you know you'd run for 5k though, being without Laura or MMR? Do you have a known 5k route?

I'm still on my sick couch and don't think I'll run again until Monday at this rate. I'm yet to manage 5k at all, in any number of minutes, so I'm well impressed.

Sounds like you're on a roll. Keep it up!

Hi ya, sorry I have been suffering with a sickness bug so haven't been on here the past couple of days. No more running since Wednesday either :0/.

I did have Map My Run on, but I just put my phone away and had it on silent so I didn't hear any of the split information. I had been looking at different 5k routes in the Create a Route section in MMR and ran one of those.

How are you doing now - have you run anymore yet?

Hi, sorry to hear that you've been poorly too. I hope you're recovering and that you bounce back quicker than I appear to be doing.

I've just come back from another run now. I only did a little better than on Saturday. I can't believe how a cold can have knocked it out of me like that.

Well have to look out that new challenge post today. You might need to pick yourself a bit of a more challenging target as you've managed 5k twice already.

I'll have to have a look at MMR and see if I can map out a few 5k circuits around here. You don't seem to be able to do it with RunDouble.

Take care and get better soon.

Glad you enjoyed that run! I have found that I enjoy running so much more after completing Couch! I feel that now I am doing it because I want to, not because I feel I ought to. Sometimes I listen to a podcast, or the radio, but silence is lovely too. Aren't we a lucky lot!!! :)
