Well I paid no attention at all to the advice giving to me about running when ill and did a 7.3k in 35mins on Monday evening!
However, I now feel dreadful and I have finally conceded defeat so no run for me today.

7.3k in 35minutes ? I would still be recovering without a cold! Seriously though it's a pain isn't it? I am on day 5 of my cold, I went out on Sunday morning and had no ill effects really but my cold has shifted a bit ( feels worse actually) and I am swithering about going out today...decisions decisions.
Hope you feel better soon
Thanks. I do run relatively fast, I find running slower harder on my legs (weird I know)
I would recommend a day off for you (I should listen to my own advice!) lol
Plenty of rest and fluids, then back to it when you're better xx
Serves you bloody well right! And the next time you disobey your peers they'll be no pocket money, no computer games and you'll get grounded for a WHOLE WEEK!!!!!
And Danzargo and Laura will come round your house and beat you with foam rollers...
Glad to read your post (not glad that you're ill of course!!) as I came down with flu a week ago - I'm now back at work but feeling pretty grim. I'm getting worried that I haven't run for 10 days and was wondering whether to just push myself - but after reading your post have decided that a few more days TLC is in order
Hope you feel better soon
PS. My definition of TLC at the moment is lots of cups of tea, nurofen and running magazines!)
Us runners don't like being ill or injured but I have learnt my lesson. My run on Monday was probably the worst thing to do. Feel like I've been hit by a bus and this is only a heavy cold. God knows how you must be feeling with the flu!? I also wish you a speedy recovery. Those roads and trails can wait for a while. There not going anywhere after all!
