aliboo and nicht_eilen are today's last minute entrants - welcome!
nicht_eilen needn't worry on my behalf - I've barely left the sofa since the hot weather struck. It's not even as though it's the injury couch, just turned very idle. Very poor attitude for a triathlete.
If I have missed your completion post let me know.

Hi Doss, look what's just appeared in my mail box. Well at least it encouraged me to get a password and delve. Aide-de-camp waiting on me hand and foot at the moment. Well that's the theory. Post op currently so can only look on with envy at runners.
No wonder I'm not up and about if the p.l.h. is on the injury couch with us. Actually I don't deserve a place on the injury couch, mine is the idle couch.
My lovely Millie was on the lead and pulled me down some steps. I just landed abruptly and had to stop as it hurt. Weird thing was, it was okay for the rest of the walk, and then, later, (after showing off my new heeled shoes to someone) it suddenly hurt and became swollen. An hour later and I can barely walk on it or move it!!
Yes it did My left ankle/foot has always been a bit dodgy as I fell down some steps a couple of years ago and sprained it very badly, it came up like an elephants foot and then went a horrible purple colour with the bruising so it has always been a bit of a weak spot for me. I am doing ankle strengthing exercises to try and toughen it up a bit xxx
The power of positive thought (and the fact that I'm most likely a big fuss pants) sees the swelling disappeared this morning, pain almost completely gone! Very strange indeed!
Come on Sir, you need to lead by example. Get that kit on and get out there before it warms up. You don't want to lose all your hard won fitness. How about doing w5r3. That's more than doable for a triathlete like yourself, then a quick bout of S&F and you'll be back in form again. Go for it, you know you want to ( deep down!) I'll even get the bejewelled ocarina out of mothballs and play you a quick fanfare if you like
Unf I have a very busy day ahead planning military manoeuvres to a meeting with the Queen's own and much included hilarity. Also today I have a lunch appt with an old friend on the long term injury couch. Then the three day manoeuvres takes me to Friday. Will try to fit into my kit on Friday morning. May be difficult after meeting Queen's own.
Aye, pah. Am taking the iron horse north over the border tomorrow so may not be around then for a few days other than brief posts. Expecting you to take charge if necessary.
That's the sort of thing you have to guess or make a choice of your own on these posts I'm afraid. We used to be a top military regiment fighting all that came between me and graduation, mainly a woman in a pink top. Watch Chariots of Fireish on YouTube (make sure you spell it exactly like this). Now we're a lot more serious. All these titled people and objects are friends of yore.
Who me? Sorry dozzer, been sleeping on the couch, so excited with completing the triathlon, overspun yesterday and had too much sherbet. Over did it on the trampoline too, elastics gone. But, I've left the bunting up to see you on your way.
What do I hold the steak down with when I try to cut it? And how do I eat my rhubarb fool? The cake is obviously with the cake forks as long as that lad from TOWIE has brought them back.
No. That's your style. I have that boil in a bag stuff I can do on my Primus stove. With cold beans because I can't be bothered to heat them. Only the cake is worthy of real cutlery.
Ewwwwwgh Edinburgh rock!! Noooooo!! A cunning invention of 1950s dentists to ensure they were never out of work. What you need to bring back is some of those little Scottie dog shaped shortbread biscuits in a tartan tin. Have a good trip m'dear. Keep posting
