Just gone and done it

Last week of the 9 week program completed this morning. It was really hard due to the hot weather and humidity in Scotland this morning.

This was my third attempt at this program. Attempt one was two years ago and I got to week three when I really injured my knee. The injury lasted for over eight weeks and I never managed to get started again. I then got to week 7 last year before I had to stop through a shoulder problem that made it too painful to run.

So being determined to crack this, I started again in May and have now just completed W9R3. I seldom post on the forum, but read the forum a lot so would like to say thanks for the inspiration I get from ready the various posts.

Congratulations in graduating They say 3rd time lucky

  • Thanks, I am Aberdeen based - we had the haar last night hence the high humidity.

  • Well congratulations! You have certainly shown determination. Don't go mad now and enjoy your future running adventures!

  • As if, I think it will be awhile before there is any enjoyment involved.

  • Congratulations and well done!

  • Congratulations on having the determination to complete the programme after so many setbacks. Well done for running through this warm weather too :)

  • Congratulations and a huge Well Done. Your perseverance has paid off and I hope you have many years of happy and injury free running ahead of you. I missed the cool window of haar here on the east coast this morning and am now waiting for it to cool down before I head out. I found running in the sleet and rain easier, so you have always got that to look forward too ;)

  • I thought F-o-g was weather related, mind you living on the east coast it is apt :)

  • Well done, especially in this heat. It is lovely to be leisurely in but not so good if you are running, so well done again.

  • Congratulations! May you have many injury free wonderful runs in front of you :)

  • Many congratulations. Bet you're still smiling! Your journey has shown great determination. Well done.
