What an amazing demonstration of the father's love. Imagine the time and energy put in to get his son across the finish line.

Omg tissue alert and such as test of endurance for both of them, blooming fantastic. What an amazing team and well done to all the events and most amazingly Iron Man for not seeing disability as a barrier.

Yes a credit to the events team too. Makes you feel like you will never have a bad run again and accept graciously this gift we have all learned to love. Happy running!

I don't know what to say...

Yes, I am crying as I watch.

Very emotional! You have a sporty son and are very dedicated parents... so very relative to you both :)

Hi, and thank you for the kind words. Son and hair is rowing again today, after yet another regatta win yesterday. Well done the quad. Yes, like many on here, it is relevant and makes me all the more appreciative of what I DO have, and less greedy to have what I don't. We should all be gretaful for our chance and freedom to run.

I read your bio, and I am impresed ~ very, very impressed. It just goes to show what we can do with the right mind-set. You are a true inspiration. Thank you.

I hope you are now making the passers-by feel a little embarrased with your running and thier non-running. You should pass them by with your head held high, and a big smile on your confident face. You have earned the right to.

Enjoy the summer and the hot runs, and enjoy every run you do.

Thank you and very humbled by your words. I treasure running and would hate to think of it not being part of my life. Well done to your son! Such a huge achievement! Hope today went okay too. Have a great Summer and keep on loving life!! :)

Being a cancer 'survivor' I do treasure life, and try to make the most of every minute.

Son and hair was rowing again today ~ 5 times per week and loads of school work [straight A* pupil except for Mandarin where a B is expected next year], and then Med school after A levels in two more years.

The words I expressed were meant from the heart.

Keep running safely, and enjoying it. No more targets, just runing for running's sake.

Have you watched this clip? Sarah Ridgeway in Snowdonia. 30 sec on is great.

Ah now I know why you have a certain depth! I was a nurse who cared for terminally ill patients and was deeply attached in their last days. I suppose I cared too much as my home life suffered as a result. All changed now and my family has to come first. Your son has an incredible determination and maybe this is partly because he wants to make you proud and indeed he is! Tell him it Med school will be hard and being an F1 is just the pits!! All the rubbish chores are dumped on you. Get that bit over with and he will be sailing through. Mandarin is very useful, The Chinese industry just grows incessantly! -I am in Hong Kong/Shenzhen in October and very frightened by food choices!!(very fussy eater!). Our Chinese colleagues will want to please!

Will watch the video, thank you again and your family are an enormous inspiration!!
