Well now I've put this in I'm obliged to go for 7/1. When I get back I'm going to need sustenance. Can someone pop round to Nan's so it's ready - maybe bacon sandwiches. And Corporal spoonierunning I'm expecting to hear that you've come out of the mess tent today.

BLTs?

Here, have one of my home made energy bars
I reckon I should start eating em before I go running rather than when I get back. LOL

George Foreman and his esteemed Grills of Wonder cook healthy everything!
Girls of Wonder - can they join our fight against tyranny?
Of course, dear sir. The enemy, faced with red hot steaming grills, will not know what to do. They will cower in presence of our mighty George Foreman Grills of Wonder superiority. Onward, we must go, grilled bacon and breadcakes (they're breadcakes here, though baps is an acceptable term) aloft. CHAAARRRRGGGGGEEEEE! *plays a bugle in a jovial manner*
Hey, you're in. A bugle to join the music of the triangle, portable lap harp, and squeaking grass will be most useful. It is after all the most war-like. Let's face it, I hardly think Bluey is going to be scared of a triangle. (It doesn't come onto the battlefield with us anyway, just sounds the beginning of the onslaught.) Accompany the Èored down the left flank for me.

Did you get out? Serious slacking if you didn't, no Jammie dodgers coming your way, I shall find nana's local pound shop and remove them all before she gets there.
Just back from my run, pear, strawberries, blueberries and cottage cheese here for sustenance, topped off by a treat (separately) a toasted crumpet with marmite!
Just back and peeled off the floor. Stayed dry until warm down walk when it persisted down to such an extent I couldn't see through the X-ray specs. Very pleased with run though. Encouragement from Captain Waletta even produced that last sixty second burst of speed as well. Now need cocoa and possibly eggy bread as there are no buns, biscuits, cakes in. Nan said I couldn't come in because I was too wet and she wasn't going to let me sit on her DFS Bank Holiday bargain sofa.
Well done Dozzer & pleased with run - It doesn't get much better. 'fraid I have hit trouble Sire. Out just once last week & eating myself out of house & home. So glad that I'm not a witch (despite what my daughter says) & that house is not made out of gingerbread or we'd be homeless. I can confirm Poppypug made mess in mess tent. Not good.
We cannot sacrifice ourselves daily. We need a rest sometimes. Discipline the ADC for cheek and make her go and buy provisions. If you see Corporal poppypug (ents div) tell her to clear up before I reach the mess tent.
Thank you Sire ADC(not sure what that means) is hiding in her room. I cleaned up mess sire - we have to look out for each other.
An aide-de-camp is a fancy version of a batman. Your kindness knows no bounds when it comes to caring for others. Corporal poppypug (ents div) will be grateful.
Oh I like this idea. ADC has done the dishes twice today. I like poppypug - a comrade in arms. Btw - not sure going out for more provisions is a good idea until I have the munchies under better control.

I went posh today for my post-run sustenance - an M&S chococcino muffin. Luckily only one left in the packet or I'd have eaten the lot I was so hungry. Expecting to hear you mentioned in dispatches for an heroic 7/1!

May give that a go. On baps would be good. Or is that rude where you come from?

Energy bar packed with whatever fruit is in the cupboard. No dates in this batch, but apricots, sour cherries, cranberries, raisins, coconut, seeds, nuts, honey, butter ......... I want one now! Can't have one though cos not been running
I'll make some more up Dozzer

I made it out of the mess tent

Peasant.

Luckily for you Captain Waletta says she's cleared up for you.

No, not sugar coated sour cherries as in SWEETS, but real dried sour cherries. They're way lush and I put them in the energy bars I make. Just the thing for brave knight food!
Still lying low, having been wounded in the field of battle, but am saving energy reserves ready to return more powerful than ever

Well, I should think the Garibaldi would be your biccie of choice being as he was a fighter of note; a general in fact! An army marches on its biscuits when all said and done. Get Nan on the case. I think they have some in Poundland
