Did the dreaded 20 minute run (w5r3) this morning and found its reputation is undeserved. Bring on week 6! Happy running to all.

Fantastic news! It feels like such a milestone getting that one in the bag. Just watch out for W6, it's harder than it looks, though I've no idea why! Keep up the good work! :)

Yes, 20 minutes seems incredible when I think that only a few weeks ago I found running for a minute tough. Is that a Siamese in your photo?

Yes, he's a seal tabby point siamese. I have 4 siamese and a Havana Brown :)

I thought he was! I have a choc tabby point, a Bengal, a Bengal cross and a little black moggy kitten I have fostered).

W5r3 - one of the best, if not THE best run in the programme. Well done, feels great doesn't it? Beware w6 though, it's surprisingly tough!

Fabulous! well done! Yes week 6 is indeed quite tricky - I think after the excitement of completing week 5, you subconsciously kick up the speed a notch when you go back to intervals!

W6 seems to be okay if you keep it steady. Well done on getting those 20mins in the bag.

Sorry, my cat post should have been directed to Treemouse!

Well done on your success with the 20 minute run. Please don't allow your euphoria to make you over confident though - week 6 can be a killer if you are not prepared for it. The return to intervals is not a soft option and frequently catches people out. The trick is to keep it very slow, very steady and stay calm. This will see you through. Good luck and best wishes.
