Weight Loss?

What week have people been experiencing weight loss? I've just completed week 4 but I started on Week 4 so I haven't really expected any yet. I also feel distinctively less 'tight' round my thighs since I stopped tread milling but I wasn't nearly as fit then so not sure what todo. Thanks!

I doubt you'll see any weight loss without actually watching what you eat. Have you modified your diet in any way? I lost three stone on the 5:2 Diet (Fast Diet), two stone before starting the c25k programme, and I didn't compensate for my running by eating back the calories. You might want to check what you eat by getting the free app MyFitnessPal and logging your intake for a few days. The first thing I started to do after watching Michael Mosley's excellent Horizon programme, "Eat, Fast and Live Longer" vimeo.com/54089463 was to eat from smaller plates and stop eating after my evening meal. That started to show results almost immediately.

I'm a 5:2er also! Congratulations! You look amazing. I lost 2 stone cutting down from Jan 13 then lost a further 3 stone plus doing 5:2 since August! I have another stone and half maybe before I reach my goal. Loving exercise that I started doing this year. Now for the running! Love being the new me! (MyFitnessPal is a fab app for keeping track of day to day food intake without being obsessed about it).

I'm 64 and now feel 20 years younger! I had hoped to get to a 12 but ended up a size 10 and now j just fast one day a week. Any other diet and I'd have put it all back on again, and more! I've been the same weight now over a year.

I didn't really see any weight loss until I was graduated and running longer. :-)

I'm doing weight watchers too and I noticed that after around week 4 I was having a steady weight lose of around 2lb a week from watching what I ate and using running to boost my weigh lose. I did find that my body shape changed in a good way

I graduated last week and have not yet seen any clear weight loss. However, my body shape has definitely changed with my much hated over-hang above my waist band virtually disappearing! I am going to maintain 3 x 30 minutes runs a week and monitor my weight monthly. I am hoping now I am running further on a regular basis I should see some drop in weight! Good luck with the rest of the plan!

the weight loss will come, I started weight watches and did the C25k programme. I lost 56lbs, It took me a year to loose the weigh but once I had finished the 9 weeks programme I kept running three times a week. graduated about 18 months ago and have kept the weight off. I started off on my treadmill until I could face going outside! but now love running out and have stopped worrying about people looking at me. Keep it up and the weight loss will come but I do agree with ingernut49 I think you need to eat healthy to impove your weight loss and your running

Your muscles getting more toned can make them feel just that tad bit loose inside your clothes. Your scale may not rate it, in fact, it might even show an increase.

That said, i was losing weight before this, just from having added massive amounts of walking (from less than a mile a day, to 2-5 miles a day). My attention to diet waxes and wanes, even when under on calories, the choice are sometimes a little to biscitty. My ability to run is still iffy (i re-started from week 1 and still need more than 3 runs to be able to move along to the next week). My scale shows small losses each month, BUT my shape changes are much more noticeable than scale would indicate. Winter clothes I bought last year when we moved here are now too big, i will have to have another new winter wardrobe next winter! My lighter weight jackets and raincoats (also new since the move.) are too long in the sleeve now my arms and chest/back are skinnier. Digging through my summer clothes, i can wear things I almost got rid of and didnt bother shipping to Scotland last year as I already hadnt worn them in so long. I have finally gone and replaced all my underclothes this week for goodness sake!
