I'm running now! Yeeha! 40 mins easy today. Running tomorrow too as I'm on a training plan. 'Ark at me! LOL

Ran this morning, 53 very hard minutes later I'd only covered just over 8k (I should be MUCH closer to 10k by then!), it was hard work from the start, not sure why, so I decided to bail (at about 5 or 6k, it took me another couple to get home from there) and do my 'long' run (>10k) tomorrow instead.

Afternoon, Poppy, and, indeed, all. :-) Rest day for me today too; W6R1 commences in't morning. Today consists of doing very, very little. About to watch American Hustle on DVD and a short while ago enjoyed two poached eggs, smoked salmon and some apple and beetroot bread. om nom nom.

Out on W5R2 tomorrow, Poppy? Week five is great; whatever you do, don't dread run three, it's really not that bad at all. I liked it!

Miles, I really want to live in your house :-) Your meals sound delicious. I was planning on W5R2 tomorrow, and all being well I will do it, its just when I took the dogs out this morning, my right calf feels very tight ,so I will see how it is tomorrow. If bad, I will leave it till Tuesday, 'appen.

Good luck with your run tomorrow, oh and don't forget , I want a full report of the rest of your meals today ha ha :-) xx

Well, my dear Poppy, you're about to get hungrier! I'm just - slowly- munching my way through roast chicken breast, mashed tater, mashed sweet tater, peas, carrots, gravy, sweetcorn and stuffing balls. Om nom. For pudding, perhaps natural yogurt and raspberries. And a few chunks of very very very dark chocolate.

Sorry to hear about your calf. :-( I was suffering with that too. Are you doing calf stretches? That seemed to have helped me. It will pass though, hopefully you'll feel better for your run tomorrow. And, of course, all the best with run two! :-) x

You'll be making me hungry again soon Poppy, with this talk of lobster, which I love! Sadly I don't deliver. I do occasionally do liver though....!

Hope the stretching helps; I found it did, or perhaps it just passed as suddenly as it hit. Hope yours does too!

I'm so full now; don't think I could eat another thing! xx

Like you, I'm chilling out at home - cooking a nice roast chicken at the moment! As Miles said, don't dread run 3 - take a philosophical view of it and you'll sail through. I will be running tomorrow provided my little twinge from yesterday is fully cleared up and have been advised to try the Stamina podcast as it may suit my running style better. We'll see what happens tomorrow. If needs be I will take an extra rest day, which might be advisable anyway as being a bank holiday the park and river embankment will likely be busy - unless I go very early. I'll see. Enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.
