Missed a week through injury

Hi, I finished week 7 although I have to admit that I struggled with R3 due to some back pain. I decided to take a week off to allow myself to heal.

Now I'm not sure where to start again. I thought maybe I'd go back to week 5 and some shorter runs but I don't want to go backwards. Any thoughts?

I've only just finished w7 myself, so I may not be the best person to offer advice. Having said that, if I was you, I'd give w8r1 a try. A week is not THAT long. You may surprise yourself with how much better you feel after the week off.

If your back has definitely healed by now then I go along with Tomas and suggest that you give W8R1 a try. I had an extra rest day over the weekend (having completed week 7) due to a cold. I know it was only 3 days off and not a week but I actually found starting week 8 a bit easier, possibly due to the longer rest. Only you know your own body to be able to decide what is likely to work for you but, because you have already completed so much of the programme, you may find that your level of fitness can cope with a 25 minute run. Let us know how you get on. Good luck and best wishes.

Ditto all the above. I'd push through and continue. I am sure your fitness levels are good enough and a week won't have had any effect on that. I look forward to reading your positive postings xx
