Yay us! B-)
Wow, that's great ! Thanks Rfc for putting theses quests together x
Really good to see our 'relay' - thanks!
Ah, that looks great! Well done fellow Questers!
What a brilliant start, especially given the awful weather we've had. I wonder if we'll be visiting any interesting landmarks along the way?
Fab! Well done all!
I love seeing it like this! Thank you for putting it together and for getting us going on our quests
Love it. I can see me in the picture too. I think some stop offs to take in the sights would be a must. A virtual dip in the sea on the mum quest would be lovely (would have to imagine it will be much warmer too).
Lets see how far we go on this quest.
Look at us go! Next phase should take us past the Black Isle, I recommend we take a wee detour and stop off at Cromarty, take a wee boat out and see the dolphins followed by a wee drop of 'Happy Chappy' from the Cromarty Brewing Co.
Not my home town but we went on a holiday there when I was young. Sticks in my mind because it was one of only 2 holidays we ever went as a family. The second was a caravan in Inverness but it rained all the time and 4 kids between 4 and 10 in a caravan must have been very challenging. So much so, we came home after 4 days
I went back to Cromarty last summer not long after my mum died and it brought back lovely memories!
Can someone explain what the quest is???
I am not sure what it all means, how are we raking up the km's?
Every six weeks we join up and agree a task we would like to complete In The six week period. It could just be to run three times a week or to get to a distance goal it could even be to add stretching in. It is very personal to the individual. That way it is not out of reach for anyone. The distance part of the quest is that at the end, just to commemorate us being involved be can log one run out of all your runs In The last six week. The run would be your longest run in six weeks. Then they are all added together and we mark our path. It is totally voluntary if you want to add a distance at the end. It's just a bit of fun that gives us something we work at together as a group. If you are injured and cannot run for a six week period you can be on the hydration stops. That way you can still be part of the quest and feel involved. I hope this makes sense.
Yes and no. How & where are you recording the distances? Is it on this site?
The Friday before the end of the quest (this quest it will be 28th March I will put a post up for the run for Mum Quest. Over the weekend everybody will post and say how the six weeks has been for them at that time they will log their longest run if the six weeks.
So an average post will go like this:-
Managed 3 runs every week, time and distance going well. My longest run is 5km.
Then on the Monday morning (31st march) I will go through all the posts and add up all the individual distances. Then we will mark the collective distance on the map.
Then on the Monday of 31st march we start a new six week quest
It's just a bit of fun to get everybody to feel involved, I felt that it was nice to see something visually after committing to a quest for six weeks and this seemed the best way that made it all inclusive for everybody. So even if you joined the last week you could still log a distance run. Also it is important that people feel like a small run (which is what I do) is treated with the same respect as the longer distances.
thanks now its all clear.
