I'm so happy to have finally graduated. Took me about 4months but did have a month off around xmas. Have been a fly on the wall and have found a lot of motivation and useful tips reading the forum so thought i'd share my success. I never thought id get to where I am today but i managed it despite half my family just laughing at me. Going for a park run on Saturday to really prove it to myself. This is probs the funniest thing wiv it all tho, i originally started simply wanting to improve my fitness, now i'm determined to lose 10kg so am just starting the NHS 12week plan. Fingers crossed people...

Fantastic! Really well done. You must be grinning from ear to ear! Just ignore all those people who laugh at you and hats off to you for carrying on and succeeding. Bet they're not laughing now. Anyway, who cares?

I'm really impressed you are doing a park run already. I haven't done one yet and I graduated last September!

Good luck with the weight loss plan. You'll have to change your name!

Well done Helen!!!! Lots of us live with doubting Thomases but we don't care, no sirreebob. We just thumb our noses at them and carry on regardless. My old man told me that what I was doing was "not real running" Ha! Easy for him to say, the lardy bum (big belly too)

Good for you on entering Park Run! That takes guts just to even enter. Respect!

I have to actually get to the park run, i chickened out last week!! I know I can do it though. Yee i'm happy with what i've achieved despite what other people think. And the little bit comes from being 5foot really. Its just been the determination of not wanting to put the weight i lost last year when working full time back on when going back to uni and the stress of final year taking its toll with comfort eating. Feeling determined now tho :) Thanks

Well done little Helen. One day I'm going to be brave enough to do a park run too. I love the fact that you've proved the doubters wrong. I would think they are quite proud of you now. Maybe too deep down to show it but I bet they are impressed.

Congrats on graduating :-) Good luck with the park run too. I got my barcode about 4 weeks ago but I haven't plucked up the courage to go yet!
