A friend and I started Couch to 5 k after a very drunken evening when I promised her she would only have to run for about 5 seconds...haha. We both surprised ourselves by totally loving it and we are now due to graduate with week 9 r3 on Friday...Have read lots on this board and it's been great as a source of motivation and encouragement. We are not near 5k yet, averaging about 3.5k but hoping to up our pace in the coming weeks. As it's my birthday on Saturday and we graduate Friday, I've been treated to a garmin forerunner 110 so I have requested and received membership to the couch to 5k group on there...thought I better say hello in
case you wondered who an earth I was..so hello......

WELCOME...WELCOME...and congratulations for getting off that couch!....Although I'm a graduated of 3 weeks it's good to see that someone else on this forum runs at the same pace I do! (*_*)....Good luck and enjoy that Friday run!
You sound that you are having great fun. Enjoy Friday -both of you. Think of joining in our next Quest. My distances at week9 were similar to yours. I think a lot of folk are the same. Very well done - I bet you are amazed at being a runner. I still find it hard to believe that I can run.
Hello and welcome. Like everyone has said enjoy your run on Friday. Your more than welcome to join the quest. There is always a link on the right hand side for the current week. What a lovely birthday present you are getting. I hope you have lots of fun with it. Happy running and happy birthday for Saturday.
