One more run....

....until I graduate!!! I must admit I have abandoned Laura for the past couple of weeks as I have joined a local running club and discovered social running suits me much more than solo running (as great as Laura is!!)

I can't believe how far I have come...I started this programme back in August and struggled running for 60 seconds. I was very skeptical about this programmes' claims to get me running for 30 minutes without stopping!

However, with Laura's encouraging voice in my ear, I reached week 7 where I was running for 25 minutes, sometimes having to repeat runs or weeks that were tough going. Then with the support of my new running club I have stretched my times and distance and actually did 6k in 50 minutes last Tuesday!! Me!!!

So, my next run is Tuesday evening which will be my third run of 30mins or more and I will finally be able to call myself a graduate of the programme!

I owe c25k and all you brilliant, supportive members of this group a massive THANK YOU for getting me through this. I have discovered a passion for something I never thought I would have!

Next stop...park run!!!

To all of you guys still going through the programme, keep going!! There will be tough times, there will be moment of euphoria and moments of pure frustration, but please keep going. You will get there. If I can do, then so can you!!

I think that you and your post epitomise what C25k is all about.......helping ordinary couch potatoes to really appreciate the joy of physical exercise, by taking them to a place they never considered they could reach. Congratulations on all your achievements to date and good luck for that final run. We will want all the details.
