Set off this morning to find as many hills/slopes/inclines as I could as I'm guilty of avoiding them. We don't have many real hills around here, just short steep sections or long inclines but my task was to go after them!
Started with Robinswood Hill. I couldn't possibly run up that (yet!) but I was beaten by the track up to it the other week! Almost didn't make it, but taking inspiration from suzybenj, I got as far as I could, ran a little way back down then went for it again, reached the top, ran back down and did it twice more, no stopping!
So, that gave me confidence to try some of the local streets which are quite steep in places. Before I realised it, I'd conquered them and run over 4K. Everything was fine so I knew that I could keep going...and I did! I even repeated one short steep bit just for the hell of it, plus a footbridge over the Ring Road.
It wasn't fast, but time wasn't even a consideration. I ran 12K and I'm very happy!
